Well, we got tired of living in a tiny little place and found a new house to rent. It is 3 bedroom and 2 bath - plenty of cabinet space, a big backyard a place for my washer and dryer (yay) and central air!!! It has nasty wallpaper all over so we have permission from the landlord to repaint if we want - and we want. So all last week I was painting, and a lesson learned - find someone with really great taste to help pick out the paint! Just because a color looks good on a card, does not mean it will look good on a wall!! After a little trial and error, the kitchen, living room and bedroom are painted and look great. We are mostly moved in - all the big stuff is in the new house, I just have to move odds and ends this week! I am just so happy to have a nicer, bigger place!!

Settling in
So Joe and I are done with the Army - yay! He has been working on the police force for a few months now and really likes the job. I can't say I really like it, but it is what it is! I recently got a job myself and I really like it! I am the Office Administrator at the Methodist Church here in town. I like the people I work with and I like the work that I do!
We finally (after 2 months) got our household goods. We managed to cram most of it into our one bedroom apartment! I am just so glad to have my stuff. I made waffles the morning after we got our stuff, just because I had my waffle iron!!
Joe is working on getting a GED right now because the police academy will not accept his homeshool diploma. He is not too happy with that, especially since it means putting off going to the academy. It is strange that the Army accepted his diploma, but not the police academy.
